3月18日 Oh, well...I think the right thing to say is..."T'was a good game". Well, that it was - but it would've been even more fun if the Cajuns had won. 21 turnovers while you're playing the #6 team isn't a good thing...
There's always next year.
Yeah, right. Spencer, Spencer...Spencer Ford - missed both shoots of a freakin' free throw, missed a layup, and now has a personal foul. Grrrr!!! Chris!!I understand I'm commenting from the sidelines, but seriously - Chris, what's with all the failed shots?!! We're trailing...I always think the first few plays of the second half are important, and we're sorta all over the place right now. Chris Cameron slammed it through just a minute ago after Brian Hamilton's defensive rebound, but the scoreboard's still not tilting in our favor..
And CBS is still not telecasting the game! They've moved to broadcasting the Vermont / Syracuse game now... Darn double-game play...CBS is trying to maximize broadcast efficiency by double-dipping on the two games. The Cajuns - Cardinals' game hit the TV timeout mark at 3 minutes and 4 seconds into the game. I've been watching Duke play Delaware for the last 20 minutes... and its one helluva game. Thank God for Yahoo! live NCAA stats! The Cajuns are trailing by one point at the end of the first period. Less than an hour to go...Will the thirteenth-seeded Cajuns topple the sixth-seeded Louisville Cardinals? The game begins in 45 minutes. I intend to make this my first blog-by-ball exercise ever; with screenshots and all thrown in for good measure.
Geaux Cajuns!! 3月9日 The Ragin' Cajuns are going to the Big Dance! The Ragin' Cajuns beat the crap out of the Denver Pioneers last night to win the Sun Belt tournament...and I missed the game! Darn, darn, darn!! It would've been fun to watch the payback game! Incidentally, had the 'Pioneers' won, the victory would've 'pioneered' their entry into the Big Dance...bwaaahaahaahahahaaa!!! I love this quote by the Pioneers' Eric Benzel (to CNN / Sports Illustrated): "The ball didn't bounce our way,"
Its hard to beat that much of a detailed-yet-astute analysis, don't you think?
Anyway, this victory won the Ragin' Cajuns their third sucessive ticket to the NCAA tournament. The dates / opponents should be announced around this weekend.

The link below will take you to the Ragin' Cajuns basketball scorecard for 2004 - 2005. Not too shabby, huh?
In other news, my spam counter went over 1,000 today. Its at 1018 now. That means it took between February 11 and March 9 for me to get a thousand unsolicited messages. A thousand opportunities for me to lower my mortgage, add 'herbal supplmenents' to my diet, energize my 'social' life and to buy high-quality software at really low prices. From people I don't even know. The cup of global goodwill runneth over. 2月26日 Lost by a single point in the last second of the game! The Ragin' Cajuns lost by a single point in the last second of the game! Darn! I'll post some screenshots shortly... We're heading out to Applebee's for dinner. I'll get some good ol' Louisiana food and hope to forget about the game.
In other news, the Ragin' Cajuns are still ragin' hot in baseball and in spite of the loss this weekend, the Ragin' Cajuns will play at the the final Sun Belt standoff next weekend. If we win that, then we get a shot at the Big Dance. Fingers crossed!
